For most of my career, I worked in technology.
I had the opportunity to work with organizations such as Microsoft, Accenture, TCS, HCL, Lloyds Bank UK, and many other global enterprises. My work revolved around data, analytics, cloud platforms, automating manual tasks, and solving complex business problems at scale. Having worked with clients across the UK, Europe, China, USA, and India, I saw firsthand how technology was transforming businesses while everyday families were being left behind.
Technology was becoming smarter, faster, and more powerful every year. Yet I kept noticing something interesting.
The people who needed technology the most often found it the hardest to use.
The Problem Wasn't Technology
Enterprise companies have teams of experts managing their infrastructure, security, backups, and cloud platforms.
Families don't.
Most families simply want a safe place for their photos, videos, important documents, and memories. They don't want to learn networking, storage systems, server administration, or technical jargon.
A Personal Realization
Like many people, I found myself paying for cloud storage subscriptions, backing up photos across devices, and wondering where all these memories would eventually live.
Every year the collection grew larger. More photos. More videos. More documents.
Yet ownership seemed to be disappearing.
We were creating more memories than ever before, while having less control over where they lived.
The Question That Started NestCloud
I began asking a simple question:
Why should private cloud technology be available only to technical people?
The technology already existed. The challenge was making it simple enough for everyday families.
Not a project. Not a hobby. Not a server that needed constant maintenance.
Just a digital home for family memories.
Building NestCloud
NestCloud was born from that idea.
A private cloud designed around people rather than technology. Something that helps families store, protect, and access their memories without needing to become IT experts.
The goal was never to compete with every cloud platform in the world.
The goal was to give families a simple alternative built around ownership, privacy, and long-term preservation.
What NestCloud Means to Me
The name "NestCloud" reflects exactly what I wanted to create.
A nest is a safe place. A place where valuable things are protected. A place that belongs to you.
That's how I believe technology should feel.
Technology should make people feel secure, not dependent.
The Journey Ahead
NestCloud is still at the beginning of its journey.
But the mission remains simple: help families preserve what matters most, in a way that feels personal, private, and truly their own.
If NestCloud helps even a few families protect decades of memories, then it will have achieved exactly what it was built to do.
